RenFest

So on Saturday, Adam, Emily and myself went up to the Renaissance Festival. It was quite the good time for all of us. Emily met up with her cousins and wasn't seen the rest of the day, and Adam and I walked around, eating here and there, and browsing for idea in the pottery shops. We watched several of the shows that we noticed walking around. For those of you not aware, Snot-of Puke and Snot, died rather unextectedly recently, but the show must go on- and so it did. The stand in for Snot did a fantastic job, especially when you examine the shoes that he was stepping into. Unfortunately, I was the only one in our group to dress up, but I had a good time none the less. I've reached a new level of geek now though. I made almost my entire costume myself-like pants, a shit, a tunic, and a cape. But I can embrace the fact that I'm a geek, because I now own a costumre that I would have had to pay two or three times as much to buy-and I've got that much more experience.

Some highlights from the fest were talking with the owner of a musical instrument shop for about 15 minutes, hopping up on stage during a show to rinse out my mug and getting away with it, and just soaking up the environment.

Here I am in my costume.

In flat format...

My "watch tan cover"...

And the trim on my tunic..
