Both Amanda and I tried to do things that you could only do up north, as you can see from the above pictures :o)
On one of our outdoor adventures, Amanda and I hiked around at Tettegouche State Park. Above you can see the High Falls - totally frozen. There was a 15-4 foot area at the very base of the falls that was open from the boiling water from beneath, but other than that it was all ice and snow.
We hiked down the river along the banks and then climbed up a formidable valley wall to make our way back to the car. Not bad for a day that started out at -18 F.
...and no. I'm not climbing the walls because I've got cabin fever, nor am I doing it because the spiral staircase is unsafe. I'm just doing it because it's there and I can. That isn't unheard of for a Knutson boy you know..
