My first full day here in WY was quite easy. I was able to sleep in till about 0800 and had some breakfast here at the house (where Amanda lives with four other girls). I filled the rest of my morning with fixing the front tire on Amanda's bike and then biking around Sheridan - my main stop being the tourism and information center. I picked up a bunch of general information, but I was also researching the prospect of doing some hiking in the Big Horn Mountains (just west and southwest of here). I met Amanda back at the house after her morning work and noon rehearsal, and had lunch/a nap and then was lead on a tour of campus. Upon our return to the house, we discovered that neither of us had the keys, and none of the other girls were home at the time. So we hopped in Amanda's car and headed off to the church (so Amanda could meet with her supervisor), and then for the Sheridan Public Library - and I was off to look at Topo maps of the area. After much digging and analysis, I photocopied what I thought would be an easily attainable hike to a mountain summit (Bald Mountain). Perhaps this weekend Amanda and I will set out for a little hike. When we got back from the library, one of her roommates was home and we were able to get keys for the house again, and headed for supper in the Commons. I thought it was pretty good, however, Amanda informed me that this was a good night for the food service. Quite chilled from our various adventures during the day, we settled in for a movie and then did some studying. Real party animals we are..but we'll see what tomorrow brings. :o)
